Laboratory testing gives flooring manufacturers, tile distributors and specifiers independent, UKAS-accredited PTV data they can publish alongside their products. It is also the route specifiers use to validate a product before it lands on a construction site.
Our laboratory testing follows BS 7976-2, BS EN 16165 and EN 13036-4, using Slider 96 (the Four-S rubber, representing shoe heel) and Slider 55 (the TRL rubber, representing bare feet — used for pools and wet rooms). We test multiple samples of each product, across multiple orientations, and produce certification documents suitable for product marketing, specification, and international distribution.
We also carry out accelerated wear testing for anti-slip products — showing how the PTV performs before and after simulated foot-traffic abrasion.
