On-site pendulum slip resistance testing is the method HSE explicitly references for assessing floor safety. Our engineers travel the full length and breadth of Wales — from Cardiff Bay to Holyhead, from the Monmouthshire border to Milford Haven — to deliver BS 7976 / BS EN 16165 testing on commercial premises of every type.
Each visit includes a minimum of 5 test readings per direction in 3 directions per zone — the procedure mandated by the standard to produce a statistically meaningful PTV. We test in both the dry state and the wet (contaminated) state, because the vast majority of slip incidents happen on contaminated floors.
Every reading is recorded with photographic evidence, calibration traceability, and environmental data (temperature, humidity, surface condition). Reports are written to UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 standards and are admissible in all Welsh courts.
